Interviewing Mastery Workshop (Bellevue, WA)

Interviewing Mastery Workshop (Bellevue, WA)
Event on 2013-05-22 16:30:00

Would you like to get back-to-back offers after apiece interview? To do this successfully, you have to take control of the interviewing process, tell great stories, and handle unspoken objections.

What are the secrets that master interviewers use to sell with ease? How do they remain calm, charismatic, and focused in high-pressured situations?

During this workshop, we’ll give you all the techniques you’ll need to be confident, elicit the true hiring needs – not found on the job description – and how to tell great stories that sell you well. We’ll also cover how to handle objections, difficult scenarios, panel interviews, and phone screens.

We will discuss:

  • How to use the 5-Step Psychology-Based Interviewing Model
  • Questioning methods that establish and demonstrate expertise
  • Elicit the true hiring needs of the hiring manager – not found on the job description
  • Tell great stories that really sell you
  • Closing techniques and unspoken objections
  • Who plays what role in panel interviews and who to focus on

You will benefit by:

  • Being healthy to fully take control of the interviewing process
  • Learning how to elicit the hiring manager’s true needs and wants
  • Being healthy to sell themselves powerfully by telling great stories
  • Discovering how to handle any resistance or difficult scenarios
  • Understanding how to successfully manage phone screens to get the in-person interview
  • Knowing the role that apiece participant plays in panel-interviews and how to focus on who’s really in charge

Typical seminar participants are middle to late career professionals-in-transition or self-employed entrepreneurs attracted to slicing edge job search strategies. Their professions are in a wide range such as law and accounting, health care, software engineering, manufacturing, income and marketing, writing, operations, project management, and general management.

Since Might 2009, ProLango has trained more than 10,000 professionals with cutting-edge job search strategies. We are the only local outplacement and career-transition company known for continually learning and sharing strategies that work as opposed to the cookie-cutter career advice found elsewhere.

Register if you:

  • Aren’t offered a position after apiece interview
  • Don’t have consistent control of the interviewing process
  • Aren’t exactly sure what the hiring manager is looking for
  • Are dumbfounded about some of the questions interviewers ask
  • Feel nervous and just aren’t your ideal when presenting under pressure
  • Want to get multiple offers so you can negotiate a higher salary and a superior job title
  • Want to learn the ideal communication techniques masterful interviewers use to influence decision making

Google AdWords Essentials Workshop

Google AdWords Essentials Workshop
Event on 2013-05-07 10:00:00

Pay-per-click advertising is one of the quickest ways to get your website appearing at the top of the search engine results pages. However, undertaking an Adwords campaign, without the proper knowledge, can result in your budget being ingested up in no time and paying over the top for your clicks.

AdWords is also one of the most effective ways to launch in to a new market place or even test and measure the size and calibre of an existing online audience.

Where typical Search Optimisation techniques can take months to yield results, AdWords is often the quickest way to get found within hours and get the facts on what your market is really doing.

This two hour workshop is suitable for existing advertisers and anyone considering a PPC campaign.
During the workshops find out how you can see:

  •     Overview of Google Adwords
  •     Adwords Ideal Practices
  •     What Google Doesn't Tell You
  •     Metrics That Matter
  •     Adwords Reporting
  •     Landing Pages
  •     Conversion Tracking

________________________________________________________________

The opportunities for iPhone applications developers has never been better. Apple has paid out over 5 billion dollars to developers with App in the iPhone app store. iPhone developers' work-for-hire is the highest paid in the software industry.

The iPhone Boot Camps are arguably the most inexpensive and experienced iPhone application development workshops. Our rates are often half the price of other workshops and our trainers the most experienced in the field, with apps in the top ten in the iPhone store and/or authors of favourite books on iPhone development.

Since 2008 we have trained over 1,000 developers in over sixty workshops in the United States, Canada, Australia and the UK . The training range from on-site training sessions for Fortune 500 companies such as IBM, General Motors, Bank of USA and 3 and 6 day intensive workshops for developers enrolled from companies and independent software developers.

We are the only iPhone training to offer advanced workshops and a full money back guarantee after the first day of the workshop if you are not absolutely satisfied with the training – no questions asked. Keep in mind that if you do not have a basic understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) the workshop will be extremely challenging.

We specialize only in iPhone application development training. No other iPhone workshop has trained as many developers and we've learned a great deal from all our training sessions. Our workshop use proven course materials developed and tested over time and we instruct the latest versions of the SDK/Xcode – currently IOS 6. The workshops are all hands small workshops with one-on-one hands on instruction under the supervision of the trainer.

At the conclusion of the workshop we offer an industry recognized certificate and membership in our vast network of iPhone Boot Camp alumni to further advance your career in iPhone development, including job postings from our alumni and other companies. Frequently after the workshops developers follow up their training with the trainers and partner on developing apps and if we have space acquirable in our other workshops we offer you the opportunity to take the workshop over at no additional cost.

Our mission is to train you to develop iPhone apps on your own and most developers are healthy to so after completing the training. In fact iPhone Boot Camp alumni now have apps in the top ten in the Apple store with millions of downloads.

Trainers

Our trainers are all very experienced iPhone developers  and some are also authors of ideal selling books on the iPhone and Obj-C .

Authors/developers include Jeff LaMarche ("Beginning iPhone Development. Exploring the SDK" – apress ), Stephen Kochan ("Programming Objective- C 2.0" – Addison WesleyPress) Dan Pilone ("Head First iPhone Development- A Learners Guide to Creating Objective- Applications for the iPhone" – O’Reilly Press)  Jonathon Manning and Paris  Buttfield-Addison ("iPhone and iPad Game Development for Dummies" – Wiley Press) and Matthew Campbell ("How to Make an iPhone App- Mobile App Mastery")

Developers only include trainers Eddie Marks and saint Anthony (co-founders Inedible Software, developers of the ideal selling game "Shotgun"), Ben Sgro (senior software engineer and development manager, Elephant Ventures) , Charles Gamble (founder, Percula Software) and Oz Michaeli (co-founder, Spiralstormgames.com)

What should I bring with me?

  • An Intel Macintosh laptop computer
  • Latest version of XCode and the iPhone SDK installed on your Macintosh laptop
  • An iPhone or iPod Touch, if you have one (optional)
  • Basic programming knowledge, including object-oriented programming experience, such as Java,, NET, C,  Visual Studio

Why take a workshop when I can read books, attend a lecture watch videos and webinars?

Most people, even those with extensive experience in programming, find the SDK difficult to master. Books and video are great to prepare for a workshop but there  is still no substitute for a small hands on workshop with other developer, where you can ask questions to an experienced teacher looking over your shoulder as you go through the episodes step by step. Basically it saves you month of time and money.

Understanding CSS – Workshop

Understanding CSS – Workshop
Event on 2011-08-29 18:00:00

COST: 9 for BDA members, 9 for non-members

THIS IS A TWO-EVENING CLASS (takes place on two nights, to allot enough time to cover all the material both nights are covered in the tuition)

Has CSS seemed rather daunting or downright arcane? Have you struggled to make sense of how classes and IDs relate to HTML elements, or when to use one thing over another? This workshop will remove the mysteries, answer your questions, and clarify many things that have so far been confusing and troublesome. Simply put, CSS comes down to six major concepts and a few idiosyncrasies. This class will define them and place it all into appearance through real world examples.

You already know that HTML determines the structure and content of a website, but here we will learn how CSS determines how that content is displayed. Fonts, colors, borders, backgrounds, and positioning of elements are all controlled by Cascading Style Sheets – rules for how a web page should display, or "render" its content. Even if you're using a visual editor like Dreamweaver, you'll eventually need to comprehend CSS in order to effectively customize your site's layout and appearance. And if you're coding by hand, learning CSS is essential if you want to move forward.

CSS can be tricky to learn, but the payoff is well worth it: envision being healthy to change the size of a header font on each single page of a 500-page site with a few clicks! Or being healthy to move a sidebar from the left side of the page to the right without breaking down all of your HTML and starting over! CSS gives you the freedom and flexibility when updating your site, and grants you to fine-tune its appearance whether you're working with straight HTML or a dynamic system like WordPress. We'll analyze the anatomy and syntax of CSS code and show you how to use it effectively to design your website for elegant, powerful designs.

This workshop will cover:

  • CSS syntax
  • CSS selectors such as:   tag, ID, class, and pseudo-classes
  • Writing CSS styles and applying them to HTML
  • Internal vs. external style sheets vs. inline styles
  • Customizing text
  • The role of the < div> tag
  • Using background images and Sprites
  • Positioning site elements with CSS: absolute positioning and floats
  • Best practices for writing CSS
  • And of course, the six major concepts that tie everything together
