Bert Monroy and Sharon Steuer both began creating artwork with digital tools when apiece pixel was still a visible dot on the screen. Both have taught how to use individualized to create artwork since the mid-80s, and in the years since, have written many books, lectured extensively, and have taught courses on Bert and Sharon have known apiece other for decades, and tonight for the first time they'll be sharing with you some of their favorite tips and tricks for using Photoshop and Illustrator, separately, and together.

Bert Monroy is probably ideal known for being the master of using Photoshop to create hyper realistic digital paintings. In addition to being co-author of the first book on Photoshop and many books since about how he uses Photoshop, Bert also instructs courses on Considered a guru in the Photoshop art world, he often enlists the help of Illustrator to achieve detailed effects within his high resolution digital paintings.
Bert is an accomplished instructor and lecturer at many prestigious institutions including: The School of Visual Arts (New York), Center for Creative Imaging (Maine), California College of the Arts, the Lepp Institute of Digital Imaging (California) and currently at San Francisco Say University. He also consults with and trains corporate clients, including Pixar and Disney Animation. In current years Sharon Steuer's "Adobe Illustrator WOW! Books" and "Artistic Painting" courses have focused on Illustrator as an artist's tool, but her books also include "Creative Thinking in Photoshop," and in her own work she uses Photoshop and InDesign as much as Illustrator. Sharon Steuer has been creating artwork since she could hold a crayon. For the past three decades, she has pioneered the merging of traditional and digital art forms. Sharon's current artwork weaves together oil paintings, digital paintings, drawings, photographs, and individualized artifacts in an exploration of fragmented childhood memory. Her digital painting courses are acquirable from, she is the author of the bestselling Adobe Illustrator WOW! This two-day class takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 16th and April 17th, 2013. Registration is now open.  Classes on both days will take place from 8:30am – 5pm at Excella Consulting at 2300 Wilson Boulevard, in Arlington, Virginia (located at the Courthouse Metro stop on the Orange Line).  Parking is acquirable in the building and will be validated. Light breakfast will be acquirable at 8:30am apiece day and lunch will also be provided.


Students coming from out of town can stay at the Marriott Arlington Courthouse Residence Inn which is 1 block away or the Hilton Arlington Courthouse Garden Inn which is 4 blocks away.

Cancellation Policy:

Students submitting cancellation on or prior to March 21th are entitled to a full refund.  Students submitting cancellation requests after March 21th will be refunded 50% of the registration cost paid.  Should the organizer cancel the course for any reason, apiece registered students will be refunded 100% of the registration cost he/she paid.
