The picture this started out as.

I was looking through pictures of my chemical romance on google images (probably the most epically astonishing band to ever achievement this earth!) and came crossways an image taken by Neil Krug (or so MTV says) and decided to have a nosey through his flickr (as you do), and turns out he’s the photographer behind all the epic my chem posters!

I noticed his portraits of apiece mortal in the My Chemical Romance Danger Days series and thought Id have a try at editing a pic to create the same effect, and if you take a nosey in the comments section you’ll see what it was intended to look like 🙂

Theres method in the insanity people:
It was a rather long process but after about two hours of trial and error I think I got it to look how I wanted…
First, I place the original picture in the background
Placed in a new blank layer
I downloaded some cloud paintbrushes and painted in the background
Then I added a lens blur to the clouds
Added some Noise
Blurred over again with gaussian blur…
Added a black and white gradient map, this gave me a evenhandedly decent amount of control over the black and white semi transparant layer (basically place in there to take out some colour whilst retaining contrast)
Put a light blue colour equilibrise in and gave it a very low opacity
Masked through the band members
Spent a good ten minutes finding a similar font (but to no avail!) and then copying the colour effects on it.
Thats about all there is to it 🙂

Without a doubt this has been one of my favourite tiny photoshop projects to date, shame though cos’ Id love to do more tiny things like this, but theres just no time with exams and the other shizz that comes with being 15 🙁

If you have the time, I would personally hugely appreciate if you could do any of the following:
Check last call out on facebook – Here
And the Official website (made by me :P) – Is located here
Also If you’re interested in hearing the music, you can listen here on youtube
I’m their media manager, so any help getting them more popularity would be greatly appreciated!

How do I import a transparent background image from CS3 Photoshop into CS3 Dreamweaver?

Question by Trevor: How do I import a transparent background image from CS3 Photoshop into CS3 Dreamweaver?
Okay, I am designing a website for a shop I used to work at, and I created a logo with a transparent background. I am trying to figure out how to import it (while still retaining the transparent background) into a Dreamweaver site. Each time I try to do it, it shows a white background for the 250×250 logo on the site, but I want the background to be absolutely transparent. How can I do this? Thanks in advance!

New Web Design Company in Bellingham, WA, Empowers Clients with Free Video Tutorials on Website Management, Social Media and Photoshop

New Web Design Company in Bellingham, WA, Empowers Clients with Free Video Tutorials on Website Management, Social Media and Photoshop

Bellingham, WA (PRWEB) July 26, 2011

HappyChap Media is a new start-up web design company based in Bellingham, Washington. The company offers services including web design, graphic design, content writing, social media management and more. In addition, HappyChap Media provides the public an ever-expanding library of free website management tutorial videos, while giving customers the capability to request new tutorials for any questions they might have about managing their site, using photoshop, or performing tasks using favourite social media sites.

HappyChap Media specializes in building one-of-a-kind websites that place control into the customer’s hands. WordPress, the content management system utilized by HappyChap Media, essentially makes managing a site as simple as writing an email, so clients will easily be healthy to post updates and make changes to their page without having to pay any additional fees. HappyChap will create a site template for your organization, complete with custom graphics and layout suiting your specific needs, and you will be healthy to manage it from there on your own.

“We started the company as an inexpensive substitute to what’s already out there. For web designers, setting up a few sites and forcing customers to pay you each time they need changes is the old way of doing it,” stated co-founder Aaron Apple. “Tools like WordPress exist that make maintaining a website simple enough for anyone, so why not begin a business that designs sites using those tools and then passes the control to the client? That is the primary focus of our business, though we are still acquirable to maintain and update your site if you want a more hands-off approach.”

Besides web design, HappyChap offers services in the following areas:

Graphic Design: Corporate logos, infographics, business cards, brochures or any other marketing capital designs are available. HappyChap can even take care of the printing.
e-Commerce Integration: Using third-party payment platforms like Paypal and Google Checkout, selling products online has never been easier.
Content Writing: As search engines refine their algorithms and cut out the loopholes, the single ideal way to guarantee your site’s popularity is to focus on calibre content like newsworthy articles, blog posts and press releases, so visitors will keep coming back.
Social Media Management: Unfamiliar with the latest trends in social networking? HappyChap can set up and manage your online presence through the world’s most favourite online social networks.

About HappyChap Media:

The company was started in late 2010 by three friends in Bellingham, WA, to offer inexpensive websites to small business owners. Bringing together a one-of-a-kind mix of marketing, technical, and artistic expertise, HappyChap was founded with the belief that business owners and organizations should be healthy to manage and run their own websites, without needing to pay a web designer for each small change to the site.
