San Jose Sign Company Creates New Window Graphics, Designed to Attract Customers

San Jose Sign Company Creates New Window Graphics, Designed to Attract Customers

Window graphics for St. Patrick’s Day theme

(PRWEB) August 29, 2011

A storefront window is not just a window… it can be used to deliver a message about your establishment and to drive in customers. Just ask the Marriott Hotel in San Jose, California. Situated at a busy corner in downtown, the Marriott’s hip lounge, called “TANQ”, has floor to ceiling glass windows covering both street fronts. Marriott’s management wanted to leverage this visibility to attract customers off the street and in to the bar.

The Marriott called on BLR Sign Systems, a full service visual communications company, to develop, produce and install a seasonal advertising campaign using these high-visibility windows. The challenge was to keep the existing core graphics in place, while changing out only a portion of them, in order to make the campaign less pricey and more affordable.

Sometimes the most powerful impact is delivered by using the simplest approach. BLR’s creative team developed a campaign that took the existing window graphic images (a fish jumping into a blue martini) and incorporated new seasonal imagery—which only required changing out two of the eight window panels. By using this approach, it reduced the total project cost by 75%.

The seasonal campaign incorporated holidays and events including Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, World Cup Soccer, Fourth of July, the Fall, Christmas and New Years. New artwork for the windows were created for just the affected window panels, the old vinyl graphics were removed, and the new vinyl graphics were then installed. By making just these changes, it place out a new message, and created a new, high-impact window display that piques interest and attracts customers into the bar. Examples of the various window displays are shown here.

The material used was a extractable perforated vinyl which adheres to the window exterior. This material is highly visible from the street, yet 100% see-through from inside the lounge.

BLR Sign Systems, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is a leading national bourgeois of visual communications solutions. From static signage and graphics to dynamic digital signage, BLR helps business place their message where they need it. They offer a diverse set of abilities and can help with any signage project.

My website designed graphics do not show?

Question by FoxII: My website designed graphics do not show?
I have been trying to use the graphics from my forum on my main website to make it look similar. Unfortunately, after changing the size and filename and then uploading to the relevant place, they just display a small white box. I don’t comprehend why as when they are uploaded, they are of the same type, study and dimensions as what was originally there.

I’m absolutely baffled as to why this is happening so any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Q&A: Anyone designed a DHTML/CSS cross-browser drop-down menu/nav bar with transparent background support yet?

Question by Ian S: Anyone designed a DHTML/CSS cross-browser drop-down menu/nav bar with transparent background support yet?
I’ve only found ones that work only in Firefox, or ones that work only in IE, or ones that are flash or Java (i.e. SEO-unfriendly). For an example of what I’m looking for, see http://www.epictrip.com/ (flash-based).

I’d like sub-menu support too.
I want one that supports transparent menu background, so I can see the website behind it. That is the key. None of the recommended menus so far do this.

New Service Helps Dilute SPAM Content on the Internet by Helping Webmasters Create Good Quality Articles Designed to Inform and Raise Interest of Visitors

Broomfield, CO (PRWEB) Jan 9, 2006

A new service to help effort the problem of low calibre content appearing on the World wide web has been launched. Drive Traffic To My Website has announced the availability of an inexpensive service that will grant the average web site owner to create calibre content for their websites, or to use as articles to promote their businesses.

All of the buzz out there about using articles to promote your website or business, has caused a number of websites to pop up where authors can submit their articles. “The problem isn’t finding a place to submit your articles, it’s writing content that would interest a Webmaster or ezine publisher enough to publish it,” stated B. Hopkins of Drive Traffic To My Website.

“Unfortunately most website owners aren’t writers and don’t know the steps required to writing calibre content to promote their website or business,” stated Hopkins

The average website owner who is creating articles to promote their business, needs an simple step-by-step approach to help them create calibre articles. Quality content is the key to getting people to visit their website and become interested in their business. Articles that are designed to be informative, are more likely to get picked up by other publishers, and more likely to be read by website visitors.

Currently website owners can access the service at Drive Traffic To My Website where aspiring writers are taken through a step-by-step system that will help them write calibre articles in less time. The service also includes a few key things that need to be considered when writing articles to promote a website, or business. It doesn’t do any good to write a great article and then leave out the important factors that will encourage people to visit the website, or contact the business owner.

A subscriber will end up with an article that is ready to post to their website, or to be sent to an ezine publisher to be published in the publisher’s ezine. Articles are also created in text and html format and are designed to be self-promoting. “Our relationships with other websites will also help to promote these articles in an effective format.”

How do I have mulitple link styles for my css designed wbepage?

Question by Henry J: How do I have mulitple link styles for my css designed wbepage?
I have a link style that works for 99% of my webpage but there is a plateau with 10 links inside it that need a different style.

I have looked tutorials on the web but when I try their suggestions the links never change…

What are the step by step directions to over ride the link style for only one page (links found in plateau data to be exact)?

My link styles in my style sheet look like this:

a:link { color:#000066; text-decoration:none; }
a:visited {color:#000066;text-decoration:none; }
a:hover {font-style:italic; color:#0033FF;text-decoration:none; }
a:active {color:#999999;text-decoration:none;

}

My website page with the plateau is found at:

http://www.geolearning.com/summit/agenda.cfm

The links are not in the plateau yet as I haven’t figured out how to style them.

Like I say, even when I try to create different link styles the CSS seems to override the new style- so please give me step by step directions.

No inline styles unless necessary.

Answer by daa
Use the plateau class or id to apply link styles just to that table. E.g. –

.agendatable a:link {…}
.agendatable a:visited {…}
.agendatable a:hover {…}
.agendatable a:active {…}
